Nathan Lane didn't stop on his way in or out of the "Late Show" to sign autographs or pose for the paparazzi, and apparently he never does according to some autograph seekers. I really don't understand that. I wonder what the mindset is for those celebrities who don't sign autographs.
By the way, somehow I didn't see Randy Bachman or Larry "Bubbles" Brown.

I don't know who you talked to but Lane does sign at the stage door. If he has another appointment or is not feeling well he may not sign but he is, in general, not fond of public attention. He is actually quite shy which you may not believe because of his onstage persona.

Thanks for the comment, and input! Now I understand. I was just wondering, because it's really interesting when some celebrities don't sign. Btw, I'm actually going to start doing stage doors soon.
